For one thing, your lineto,movto etc should not use _x in them as the
coordinates are relative to the inside of the clip, nor the outside of it.
And are you sure the function that does the drawing is being called? Do the
traces appear with sensible values?
I have changed the resize function to use object identifiers (code follows), and yes the trace does get called on resize and when first run (due to the call at the end in the "main" section)
I have noticed if I remove the clear(); and resize the test window I end up with a grey "gunk" at the bottom of the window.
Not sure that it matters but I am using flash pro 8.
It just came to me
resizing the movieclip was screwing everything up.
seekbar._width = w;
seekbar._height = h;
and now it works.
I guess my understanding of movie clip sizes is wrong.
You have still not fixed your coordinates .. you need to subtract x1 from
all your x coords and y1 from all your y coords so you get...
I was told you can't set _width and _height properties directly on a mc created with MovieClip.createEmptyMovieClip()
Even if you do, they will evaluate to 0 until you don't actually either:
- draw something into it
- attach it a symbol
- load something into it
