I have created a Russian version in Director 11 of a game I
originally created in Director MX 2004 (in English). It seems to
work fairly well, but I have one problem: my editable text members
refuse to accept Cyrillic (Russian written language) input. During
the game, the user can insert his/her name in those text members,
which is later shown in highscore lists etc. Cyrillic text input
works in other applications on my computer, such as Notepad and MS
Word. I have embedded Arial Bold (along with almost every aspect of
that font) into my Director movie, and it won't work.
The game is totally offline (CD-ROM-based), so I do not need
Shockwave compatibility. My colleagues in Russia alerted me to this
problem when I sent them a beta.
