InDesign always crashes when you want to edit more then one picture at the same time in the file. Does anyone have a solution?

InDesign is running on the local computer. Because of some connection issues we had to shut down the switch, so the computer was cut off from the network. The problem here is that on the local computer was still an InDesing file open with hyperlinks to pictures on our server and network harddrive. When we got back to work turned the switch on again, InDesing crashed and was shut down.

Since then everytime you want to edit more then one picture in any file, be it the one that was open, all others that were closed or a completely new one, InDesign crashes everytime and shuts down. But if you only edit one picture everything is fine.

Before this little accident it was no problem to edit more then one picture in a file.
