So when using Lightroom Mobile on my iPhone I'd like to send photos straight to Instagram, which I can, but LR Mobile doesn't retain my landscape or portrait crop, instead it sends a square photo to IG. IG now allows landscape images so why does LR still make it square? If I save image to Camera Roll from LR Mobile, I can upload to IG and take advantage of non-square cropping....finally. I'd rather go direct, am I missing something?
Unfortunately Instagram does not offer a way to use the Landscape option yet (when the request comes from another app) - Guido
thank you Greule for the response. Makes sense it's an IG issue. Hopefully in time they will allow it.
I've been trying to figure out the same thing. The aspect ratio option in IG is offered as you are uploading a pic. And LR mobile bypasses that screen and uploads directly to the "edit" module. I guess that the current hack would be to save your LR file to your camera roll, then upload it from the IG app.
