I am trying to properly anchor images to my text once they have already been placed.

I am writing my thesis in InDesign, which contains many images and is about 300 pages long.  A portion of the text was placed from Word, but I have written most of it in InDesign.  After each draft goes through major revisions, I move/delete/add text which is now no longer aligned to the images and I spend hours moving images back to where they should be.  Is there a way to anchor images to text after they have already been placed in the document so they move?  More specifically though, I don't want the images linked to a specific line or word like my footnotes, but rather a whole page, meaning they should only move if a whole page of text is moved, so as to go with the design and format of my thesis.

      P.S. I am using CS.5
