I was editing and I opened a new gallery. I tried to edit an image in PS and it wouldn't open. Now if I select an image to edit it, it has crushed whites. It happens only in develop mode. If I go in library it's back to normal. So I created a virtual copy and selected just one and only the image selected has crushed whites. If I click on the before/after they both have crushed whites.I dragged LR on my other monitor and the whites go back to normal. I restarted the computer and nothing changed! The image you see is SOOC, the one on the right is a virtual copy. As you can see the one selected has crushed whites.
If the image does not look the same in Library and Develop, you most likely have a defective monitor profile.
Try setting the monitor profile to sRGB as described here: How do I change my monitor profile to check whether it’s corrupted?
If this fixes the issue, you should calibrate your monitor with a hardware calibrator.
