I fear this did not work. The Adobe Lightroom icon didn't create a response. Message: Lightroom 6 did not respond. While it was a trial, it would open immediately. Since the trial expired the icon is non-responsive. Of course,I cannot get to the help screen to take the suggested action.
Doug If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.
Could you please post a screenshot of the error message?
Which operating system are you using?
Could you please try to check the version of Lightroom installed on your computer?
Hi, I too am having issue with my LR 6. I have tried the suggested steps above but it still shows that I am in expired trial mode.
OS: Mac OSX (El Capitan)
LR Version: 6.3
I have tried re-installing LR and even to the extent of reformatting my mac! but LR6 still show "Lightroom mobile trial expired"
I uninstalled all LR 6. Found another LR 6 free download. Program asked for licence; provided it and all is ok -- for now.
Lightroom mobile is only available with Creative cloud subscription.
In order to use Lightroom mobile, you require one of the following subscriptions.
- Creative Cloud Photography plan
- Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition
- Creative Cloud complete plan
Please refer the below link : Adobe Lightroom for mobile FAQ
Hope this helps.
So on top of the US$142(purchased license key from bhphotovideo) I've paid for LR6 in order for me to use on it my Mac, I now need to subscribe again to the Cloud version? Is that how it works?
Lightroom 6 does not support Lightroom mobile.
Lightroom mobile is only available to CC subscribers because it needs the cloud as the mechanism for syncing between Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile.
However, you can now use the app on your iPad or iPhone absolutely free(in iOS devices only). The difference is the photos and their edits aren’t synced back to the desktop unless you have a CC subscription.
If you do not wish to use Lightroom mobile, please navigate to Preferences > Lightroom mobile and delete all data.
or click on the drop down menu in the left hand side top corner and click on Sign out.
No, you don't need to subscribe to the cloud to use Lightroom 6. You can use your Lightroom 6 forever, it does not expire, and any warnings can be ignored. How simple is that?
