ADE 3.0 freezes on Windows 7. Transfer screen keeps running. Cannot close ADE without restarting computer.

Running ADE 3.0 on Windows 7.  When I transfer a book to my e-reader, the screen freezes in "transferring" and appears to keep loading although the book already appears in the reader.  Cannot close ADE without restarting the computer.

Right click to digial edition and run as admin.

Thank you for your help!  Are you as knowledgeable about ADE 4.5?  I upgraded ADE from 3.0 to 4.5 and am still getting the message I had with 3.0. ......a message that tells me that ADE 4.5 has stopped working. ...and that Windows will close the program and notify me if a solution is available.  Is there a solution?  What can I do?  I am unable to transfer books from my pc to my e-reader.

The error is standard error message of Windows. Has you try it with run as admin?

If not work try to start the software under a other admin account or create a new admin account. The error with digital Edition is a permission prolem.
