Could you please check and confirm the version of Lightroom installed on your computer?
Which operating system are you using?
Could you please post the error log generated by the crash?
Please post screenshot.
Thanks for responding!
I was on LR 6.0 ... then I upgraded to 6.3 ... no change.
I am using Windows 10 with
Core i7 6700, 16gb RAM, 256gb SSD + 1TB drive
GeForce GTX-970M graphic card
Now I just went to try it again:
I re-imported some videos with the "Build Smart Previews" UNCHECKED ...
... and lo and behold it all worked! every video
I am now flabbergasted, but pleased ... must be something in that option which corrupts the whole system for videos.
Still not working. Between Adobe and Windows 10 I wasted most of the last month.
Wait at least 1 year before upgrading anything unless you want to spend your time sorting through their mistakes. Manufacturers are releasing Beta products routinely these days, and wasting their customers time.
BTW ... "crash" isn't accurate .. it was "not responding" and I had to use task manager to shut LR down. I don't know if there's a crash report for that
I spoke too soon. Lightroom is right back to freezing up with videos.
This is ridiculous.
The product is designed to show photos and videos, but it crashes when showing videos.
