I was trying to ensure all my photos are not missing in Lightroom 3, I saw that I had around 200 that were missing. I saw the 'Find Missing Photo' button under the library tab, I have never clicked it before but thought I would give it a go - I clicked this and now over 7,000 are missing!!
How can I undo it??
any help would be great - I'm trying to sort my portfolio and this is the last thing I need!
It seems you have moved your images from one location to another, due to which Lightroom is unable to find those images.
Please follow the steps provided in the below link to find missing images :
Hope this helps.
thank you for that but I do know the process for finding missing files.
what I did not realise is that when you find these files, the number listed on the left under catalogue remains the same, I believe by clicking 'Find Missing Photos' refreshes this to give you an accurate number of how many files are missing within the catalogue.
I had moved a lot of files without realising, this was not reflected under the catalogue and then when I hit the Find Missing Photos I thought LR unlinked some! however it was just the system catching up with all the files I had moved.
