I get as far as putting in the serial number. and select finish.
Then I get the message
"Serial # is valid but a qualifying product
could not be found in this computer"
Why do I get this message??
I am trying to reinstall Lightroom after my computer was wiped. So - of
course I would not have a "qualifying product" on the computer.
Have I made a wrong chose some where in the process.?

If you purchased Lightroom 6 as an upgrade, then the installation needs to have access to the serial number for the previous version. I'm using Lightroom CC, so I don't know what the installation looks like for Lightroom 6. In the past, upgrade versions have enabled you to enter the new serial number as well as the serial number for the previous version. Is there provision for you to do that? If that isn't possible, then it may be necessary for you to install Lightroom 5 first so that the qualifying version can be found by the installation of your new version.
