Unable to recover my projects after Win 10 update

    Brookes49 Level 1

I have a Lenovo Ideapad laptop with 1T memory and 12 GB Ram and a 64 bit OS

      An Intel (R) Core ™ i7-4700MQ CPU @2.4GHz

I am using Adobe Premiere element 13 but also have 11

I have several projects on the go but one documentary in particular that I have left and kept going back to many times.

I have recently upgraded to Win 10 from 8.1 and since then I have not been able to open any of my projects.

I have also had to remove and reinstate all the PE13 organizer clips as none would open or reconnect to the originals.

All my clips have been recorded in AVCHD MTS  16.9

Since getting the PE organizer to function, I have entered several random clips into the timeline of PE13, rendered them, saved them and recovered them without a problem.

All my problems have come since the upgrade to Win 10

I have Quicktime player 7, VLC  and the Windows 10  WMP

One thing, when I try to open on of my original projects I get a message saying that “this type of file is not supported or the required codec is not installed”

      Can anyone help please?
