MSOs do not work in PDF. They are however supported in Fixed Layout EPUB and DPS.
So therefor I should create MSOs. and export my document in EPUB and DPS.? and the buttons should function?
That’s the only formats it’s going to work with.
As Bob said, MSOs only work with FXL and DPS. And the Prev/Next buttons only work with MSOs.
FXL is the wave of the future and you should consider it. But FXLs have limitations based on universality of readers.
However, if using a PDF is REALLY important, there is a way to trick a PDF to show/hide objects as if they are in an MSO. But the steps are so convoluted, and editing after the fact can be exceptionally tedious.
However, if you can't use an FXL, I will outline the steps for you to export as a PDF.
But I'm not going to spend the hour or longer writing it out unless you PROMISE that you will use the steps.
Even if it takes forever to assemble the document. And you hate every minute of the task.
So, Mr. Phelps, you need to agree to accept the mission and I will create the tutorial.
Hi Sandee, I appreciate your feedback. Regarding the steps you were referring you, is that the interactive PDF
where you create buttons, and you give it the functions, when someone hovers over the button or clicks the image appears
and then once you release click, or hover off the button the image disappears?
Here's a link to Sandee's book, which will tell you everything you might want to know about creating interactive documents in all kinds of formats: http://www.amazon.com/Creating-Animations-Adobe-InDesign-Step/dp/0134176111/ref=sr_1_5?s=b ooks&ie=UTF8&qid=1451110335&sr…
