Now it isn't recognizing either of my licenses. This is really frustrating that I can't use something I pay a subscription for and can't cancel without penalties.
Try starting LR in "administrator" mode.
Gave that a shot but no luck! Any other ideas appreciated! I reinstalled the base Creative Cloud app and that cleared up the licensing stuff but Lightroom still won't open even though Photoshop works fine.
The original problem was licensing. What is the new problem?
What is the status of Lightroom in CC app??
No messages, the computer thinks for a second and then nothing happens. The status of Lightroom in the CC app is normal and it has the Open button...it just doesn't do anything. FWIW this is on a Windows 10 machine. I've since
seen a couple other threads where this issue was happening on Windows 10.
Sorry about that I think I confused the issue. Originally the app just wouldn't open. No error messages or anything even though Photoshop is working fine. I tried the remediation steps in the top Lightroom issues topics and then it kept giving me licensing errors for Photoshop and Lightroom. I reinstalled and disabled all the licenses and re-licensed and it fixed all of that but I'm back to the same problem of Lightroom not opening.
I checked Windows Event Logs I'm getting this error:

The MSVCR120.dll error is extremely common. Try a Google search for it. IIRC there is even an Adobe web page dealing with it. Sorry I don't have a link and even if I did it would cause this post to get moderated, for no good reason.
I've done some looking and haven't been able to fix it. The file isn't missing - it's in the windows System 32 folder. I rant the System File Checker and it found no errors. If you have any suggestions or ideas I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for your help!
