Lens profiles are applied to raw files when the option is enabled. You will see the image change as the Lens Correction is toggled on and off.
The Tamron ones will be there, the Samyang I don't know - check by toggling the switch on and off, it will soon become apparent.
The list is for jpegs and TIFFs and does not apply to raw files so don't worry.
Thanks Geoff! Didn't realise the list was for only JPGs and not RAW files. You are correct in that enable the lens corrections, it makes the necessary adjustments automatically.
Excellent, Happy New Year!!!
Is the Samyang profiled?? If not it will most likely not be too far away as Samyang lenses appear on the list frequently. They list new lenses profiled with each ACR release.
Happy New Year to you too!
Sadly no profile exists for the Samyang.
Also wondering why I cant see my lens as a preselect. I'm using Nikkor 18-140 with a Nikon 5300. The list says it is supported but I can't see how to find I in the drop down list.
Samyang website has a profile for the 14mm f/2.8 lens, at least that used to work for my D810. I downloaded the one for the D800e
But now that I upgraded to the latest version of Lightroom CC, I can't get it to find the profile now. Tried various locations to store it - as soon as I click profile enabled, it says "unable to locate a matching profile automatically". When I try to find it manually, it can't even find a folder for Samyang, despite the fact that I created it both under my user, and under program files.
Are you viewing a non-raw file? Most profiles are for raw files, only. Is the list of lens manufacturers markedly shorter than you’re used to? That’s a telltale sign you’re not working with a raw photo.
