First Question = I want to be able to allow my children to access the database and sort pictures, etc. However, I do not want to risk them changing or altering the photos. I only want to allow them to view, sort, etc. from their tablets and laptops. How can I do this and still maintain the integrity of the database and pictures? I have seen that I can send a link to the photos but I can't tell if the link is secure or not. Also, I can't figure out how to allow them to sort the pictures by whatever criteria they are looking for when using a link.
Second Question = Can you sort pictures by faces or keywords on mobile devices?
This is not currently possible in Lightroom Mobile.
Thank you Akash. As a follow up question, is there a way that I can sort the photos into various groups using Smart Collections so that when my kids use the links, the pictures are pre-sorted for them by face or by year etc. As far as I can tell, the link is for all photos in the database and does not place them in any particular order.
Smart collections cannot be synchronized with Lightroom Mobile. You have to use standard collections.
Thank you Jim. Hopefully, they add multiple users with settings that allow me to restrict what certain users can do. I would love that!
