The latest version of Adobe Camera Raw plugin that is compatible with Photoshop CS6 is version 9.1.1. You should be getting an option to "Render using Lightroom" which I believe is the better option than open anyway. Lightroom will create a tiff or/ PSD file to send to PS CS6.
What happens if you open Photoshop first? I agree that you should be using the "render using Lightroom" option.
I have LR 6.3 and ACR 9.3 installed and CS613.01 version 6.2 and ACR 9.1.1. As a result, I am experiencing the following errors
- requesting system info in LR " an unexpected error performing command bad argument #7 to ? (Boolean expected got nil)
- cannot open LR images as layers or merge to HDR in CS6
- when editing an image in CS6 using the Open Anyway option "the file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CS6 could not be launched"
Did you recently uninstall an older version of PS? This can cause the issue you are seeing. The solution is to reinstall PS CS6 (including updates).
