CC2015 strange crashing iMac El Capitan

Adobe After Effects CC 2015.1 version

      OS X El Capitan

      iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

Processor 4 GHz Intel Core i7

      Memory 32 GB

      Graphics AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB

New iMac shipped with El Capitan.  Running the newest version of AE CC 2015.  While working in AE doing simple key framing and working with shape layers or text or normal operations, all my screens suddenly go black and then my OS log in screens appear quickly.  (Not a kernel panic or restart). When I log back in, After Effects has closed and all my work is gone and not saved.  This seems to happen at random throughout the day with no warning or spinning beach ball.  I set my auto-save to every 5 minutes.  I also get plenty of regular crashes while rendering, but at least get a message telling me that AE has crashed.  I rebuilt the entire system with a clean install a week ago but it still happens.  AE CC 2014 does not do this, luckily.  I was wondering if it could be the Thunderbolt to fibre conversion hardware or the Tiger technology MediaSan drivers.  It only happens with AE CC 2015.
