Does anyone have an answer on this?
I'm in the same boat (travel for a living | design and edits on the road). Looking for an alternative to the MacBook Pro/Wacom combo and the surface book looks promising. Quad vs dual core isn't ideal but if the benchmarks are anywhere close I'd love an all in one solution.
Does anyone know if the photoshop/illustrator pen response lag was fixed?
Does anyone regularly use their surface book with CC? What's the consensus?

I haven't had any responses to this question, but I now have a Surface
Book. It seems to work just as expected. Readily downloaded Desktop App
and the three others I use about as quickly as usual Adobe downloads. The
LR interface seems normal. Screen real estate is smaller than what I'm
used to, but that was expected.
You have to deal with hard drive storage, depending on how you want to use
the computer. I've re-watched Julienne Kost's video on backing up LR,
which is (I think) a little overkill, but gives a reasonable way to keep
all your LR files together without running out of space. I will probably
get a really large SD card to keep photos on, leaving the catalog on the
computer, and pointing LR to the card for downloads. (That is, won't keep
actual photos on the hard drive itself.) Or you could spend rather a lot
more and get a Surface with more built-in memory.
All in all, I think the Surface is really good--and it weighs nothing at
all compared to my Dell laptop. I'd be happy to answer any other questions
I can, but it will be only from my limited personal experience. It would
be nice to have some input from the rest of the community.

Have you had a chance to use illustrator with your surface book yet? What's the pen latency like?
