    Flex drag and drop

      Hello All,

I am working on a Flex project in which we have to upload files to a remote server.

The uploading a file on the server is working fine.

I would like to know if it’s possible to drag and drop files on the List control on my Flex application from windows explorer (file in a folder on the local file system).

I know is working with AIR but we want to do this in browser embedded application.

So, I need to drag a file onto a browser, in which my embedded Flex application is situated and retrieve the file reference as done when working with AIR (without the browser layer).

      Thanks in advance,
      Laurent

Browser limitations prevent Flex/ The Flash Player from handling items dragged into the browser.

Sorry, unless you want to go the route of writing some form of ActiveX control, I think you're out of luck.

            Hello Jeffry,

            First, thanks for your answer.

As you seems to know a lot more than me about Active X control, where should I start to do that? And do you have any recommendations regarding Active X and Flex communication?

More generally, have you already tried to do this?

            Best regards,
            Laurent
