For some reason, Adobe InDesign is not allowing me to load the color swatches. When I go to load swatches it brings me to where I saved my workable Adobe InDesign files on my desktop. I found the Adobe InDesign swatches within the applications/adobe-indesign directory within OS X El Capitan on my iMac.
However, it does not allow me to load any of the swatches. I have attached two screen shots to show the dialog boxes. Thank you for your help.
You're in the wrong folder. You need to select an InDesign file. There are no InDesign files in that folder. Then you can load the swatches from that file.
Your capture is showing .acb files (color books) in your Presets folder. You don't load books, they are available from the Swatches panel via Swatches>New Color Swatch>Color Mode. Choose a book and the swatches will be listed.
