I have been making a 1080x1920px portrait H.264 video for a year or so and I haven't had any issues exporting to a mp4.I have altered the same file over and over again, and I'm afraid that in doing so, I have messed the entire thing up.
Lately, the final product, after exporting, is a rectangle with huge black borders. As if in the process of exporting the file to Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015, it has decided to change the file to 1920x1080px -- compressing the original composition's height.
Is there any way I can correct this or will I need to revert back to an old save? I have changed so much since then that I would probably just start all over again.
Thank you for reading.
1080x1920 isn't a valid size for h.264. It has to be 1920x1080. The monitor on which the file is played back is rotated 90 degrees to make it vertically-oriented.
You simply have to nest the 1080x1920 comp in a 1920x1080 comp and rotate it 90 degrees. Be sure to pick the direction in which you rotated it previously.
