Downloaded PDF portfolio file to iPad mini. Download successful, but a graphic is displayed saying to best read the portfolio should use "Adobe Reader X." And, there is button telling me I should "Get Adobe Reader Now." Clicking on it tells me it's already loaded on the ipad - this is true. But can't get rid of the graphic to view the portfolio. Please advise how to delete the graphic that seems it somehow is embedded in my PDF file. I've deleted the PDF file and re-downloaded - same problem
Is the "downloaded PDF portfolio file" displayed in Safari (the default web browser on iPad/iPhone)?
Does it look like this in Safari on your iPad/iPhone?
Apple iOS apps (Safari, Mail, iBooks, etc.) and many other third-party PDF viewers do not support PDF portfolios.
The PDF portfolio cover page (as shown in the screenshot above) is displayed when a PDF viewer cannot display portfolio contents. Additionally, please note that PDF portfolios with Adobe Flash contents cannot be displayed on iOS devices. (Because Apple has never allowed Adobe Flash Player to be made available for iOS.)
If a PDF portfolio does not contain Flash contents, it is possible to use the iOS "Open In" feature to open it in Adobe Reader for iOS.
Please let us know if you have further questions regarding PDF portfolios on iOS.
