YES, the autoformat, like the Flash editor, is very nice, IMHO.
I'm new to the java world...and thus JAR files. I've downloaded your formatter...now what???
Then how does one actually format code with it?
Place the jar file that you download into the Flexbuilder (or Eclipse) plugin directory. Since I'm using Flexbuilder, it would be in
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 3\plugins
Then, when you restart Flex Builder (you may want to run Flexbuilder with the -clean parameter one time, i.e., change your icon's shortcut to
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 3\FlexBuilder.exe" -clean
again assuming you're set up like I am))
and when you come into Flexbuilder, you should now have a couple of new little icons on the toolbar at the upper left. The first one is autoformat for any code you have highlighted.
I couldn't have said it better John
Just love accurate-easy-to-follow instructions. Thanks it worked like a charm.
