- Make sure your LR is up to date.
- Can you post the screen shot of the export window from Lightroom as well as the output that you get with details of the image.
- By the way check this link and see of it helps.
Issues like this are almost always caused by a corrupt LR Preferences file. Try resetting it for your version of LR as outlined here:
Thank you. Tried that. No change.
This is exactly how it is supposed to work.
Not quite sure where you are confused.
Let me share my Export results.
IMG_4391 - Original image
Test4-3 - Resize to fit, Long edge 1400 Pixels
Test 4-4 - Resize to fit, Short edge 1400 Pixels
Would suggest you to check this links on how long edge and short edge works
I don't think you have the right example, rpandita
The original problem is to take both a vertical (portrait) and horizontal (landscape) and export them both using Long Edge=1400, and the user expects (as I do) that the long edge of both exports will be 1400 pixels.
You have not done that, you have exported a horizontal photo two different ways, which is not what the problem is.
What dj_paige said. The long side is supposed to be 1400 px for both (V/H) and then less than 1400 on the short side. These were exported at the same time.
Okay, so humor me for a minute.
Try the exports at some other size, say 1300 pixels long edge. Does the problem go away? Or not?
Are you exporting with Long edge at 1400 pixels in all cases?
I see, thank you for correcting me.
I shut my computer down again, started Lightroom again and did the preferences reset again (Alt+shift) and it is now working.
Thank you for your help.
Lightroom put the coma there. I didn't. Thanks
