all swf's loaded by flash (with loadMovie, for example) can be loaded using a query string that prevents caching:
I tried using that code, and I received an error saying the following below.
It looks like it is looking for the file with the ?nocache= and random math part.
Should we try something else?

it doesn't "override" any browser setting. but it causes all browser's to "think" they're loading a new page because the cached file(s) have different urls so when they look for a url-match, they find none.
I have to offer my thanks to kGlad on this one as well. While I've never encountered this previously (lack of opportunity), this issue came up in a project I was working on the day after I saw your reply to this posting and it saved me from having to redesign.
