I'm upgrading from Acrobat 9 Pro to Acrobat DC (currently using the trial version which has totally overwritten my old version), whenever I try to save a document the Save Dialogue Box simply freezes before dropping me out and closing the problem, thus losing the document??
Adobe do not provide any upgraded version of Acrobat DC from Acrobat 9.
Please let us know the OS you are using.
Try checking for updates and repairing Acrobat from Help menu.

Why wont Adobe provide an upgrade from DC from Pro 9?
The upgrade paths are usually two versions back, so from 9 you could upgrade to X or XI, and from X and XI you can upgrade to DC.
