I am running 64 bit server 2012 R2
I have tried both 4.5 and 5 installers and both have the same problem, I open the installer and then click I accept then I get an error message that says
Setup has detected an invalid registry entry and is unable to proceed.
This can be corrected by uninstalling the current version. (this is a brand new install of server 2012 so there is nothing on it )
HELP
Can you check if one of these registry entries are present:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FlashCom (or)
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FMS (or)
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AMS
These entries get set at the time of installing AMS (or older versions, FMS).
If its a clean Win server 2012 R2, these entries should not be present, else older version of AMS/FMS needs to be uninstalled.

You are using a Windows server why?
I have installed it on Centos. Centos is recommended for Adobe Media Server

Because the client has a windows server , the issue is on the install of the adobe Server exe file for both version 4.5 and for version 5
we are not going to install Linux just for this product.
I need help investigating this particular error please
