I'm going to move this thread to the Premiere Elements community. This forum is for the mobile app Photoshop Fix.
What version of Premiere Elements did you have before Premiere Elements 13? Are you working from the 13.1 Update of 13 obtained from on opened project's Help Menu/Updates. What computer operating system is involved?
What workspace are you in regarding Premiere Elements 13 - Expert workspace or Quick workspace?
What workspace did you work in with the earlier version of Premiere Elements - Timeline workspace or Sceneline workspace.
Could you give more details of this photo area that you question - a screenshot would help or more details....I have not focused in on where you are pointing to in your description.
Please confirm if this is a Premiere Elements 13 Editor or Elements Organizer 13 concern.
Thanks for the rapid response. I originally had Premier Elements 1 and 3 before moving to 13. I have updated to 13.1. I was working in Quick because I did not thibk I was expert, but tried Expert after your message and found what I was looking for in that media could be transferred directly to the media area and from there to any spot I desired on the timeline. Thanks for your help. One more question when and if you have the time. When I open and close Premier Elements it indicated I have no disk in the drive and it takes several tries to get rid of that message. I have loaded the Premier Elements in the drive as well as blank DVD disks but still get the message. Any idea what I am doing wrong. Thanks again.
Thanks for the follow and good news of your progress. Well done.
You have run into a classical issue in Premiere Elements 13/13.1 - the no disc error. The Adobe solution for that is deletion or disabling a file name OldFilm.AEX.
That file can be found
Local Disk C
Adobe Premiere Elements 13
and, in the NewBlue Folder, is the OldFilm.AEX file that you delete or disable by renaming it from OldFilm.AEX to OldFilm.AEXOLD.
Please let us know if that works for you.
I rename the OldFilm.ACX file and it worked. Thank you very much for all your help.
Great news that renaming the OldFilm.AEX file got rid of that Premiere Elements 13/13.1 No Disk error.
Thank you for letting us know the outcome. Appreciated.
