Hi Bill Riccobono,
If by LR CC on cloud you mean LR mobile, yes LR mobile does not store the original raw file or jpeg rather those are smart previews that are uploaded.
Smart previews are quite small in size, and are not recommended for printing purpose.
So when I want to export (be that jpg or .tif) or print, that will be from my computer in whatever format I have saved in Lr. True?
The other issue arising tonight: I'm cleaning house with my Lr catalogS! 2 of the catalogs I try to open to see what is inside give me this message
"The Lightroom catalog named “Lightroom 6 Catalog” cannot be opened because it is too new to be used by this version of Lightroom. Would you like to select a different catalog?".
What remains now is an old edition of Lr5 and the CC/Lr Mobile edition. Am I going to be ok???
This is getting tricky.
- Right click on any of those catalogs and click open with, select Lightroom, not Lightroom 5
- Seems like your default is set to LR 5 to open any catalog.
- The most easy thing to do would be to get rid of LR 5 so that you only have LR CC on your machine making it simple.
PS Also wish me luck.
