I have InDesign CS3 installed on both my Mac Pro (Intel) and my PowerBook G4 (PowerPC). The hard drive on my PowerBook has finally crashed, so I'll soon be buying an Intel replacement. As I can't even boot my old laptop now, how should I deactivate the copy of InDesign CS3 on it, so that I can install it on my next laptop? (I'm in Australia.)
And more bad news...the chances of installing and running CS3 on El Capitan are incredibly slim. That said, if you do get it installed and you get the activation alert, you can call Adobe and get it reset, but nobody here can help with it.
Nuisance. Should I call Adobe before I attempt to install on the new machine, or after?
After, if you have to. There's a pretty good chance after the elapsed time that the activation counter has been reset and you won't have a problem at all.
