Hey, Adobe Staff! Adobe After Effects was working out great for the first week! But just about 3 days ago I discovered a major problem. Whenever I add any sound/music files into the application and click the RAM preview, Adobe After Effect crashes. This was surprising to me because this never happened to me before. But here's the thing, if I don't add any sound files into my project and click RAM preview, it doesn't crash. Any ideas on how to fix this?
What happens if you add video with audio?
What happens if you add a 48 Khz 16 bit PCM wav file. This is the base standard for video production. MP3's are not.
Did you install any new audio apps, media players or codec packs?
What is your OS and AE version down to the last decimal point?
My OS is 10.10.3 and my AE is 22.214.171.124 .
You should consider updating your OS and your AE.
Apple fixed some critical bugs in 10.10.5 that related to AE, so I'd try that first.
Then, if you don't mind the cool new blue colors, you should also consider updating AE - at least to the latest version of CC 2014. There were lots of bug fixes and new features added.
