CS6 is not officially supported on El Capitan. That may be the cause of the issue. What are you trying to import?
Attempting to make a time lapse video. I'm importing a raw file as follows:
select Raw file >
Check Camera Raw Sequence >
Make tonal adjustments in Camera Raw >
Ae then crashes!
Maybe a platform unique bug as Ae works fine on circa 2011 iMac also running El Capitan.
Can you import something other than Camera RAW?
I'm guessing that your raw images are huge. Try processing them in Lightroom or Bridge and export a resized sequence of DNG or even tiff or jpeg images. The sheer size of the images or the flavor or RAW you are using may be the culprit.
Interesting behavior! I can import JPG and TIFF's regardless of size. However, when Camera Raw is invoked (guess something in the preferences) the App crashes. Raw files and DNG files seem to invoke Camera Raw and those always crash regardless of size.
Make sure your Camera Raw and AE are both up to date. Mine's working fine. What's your OS?
Thanks you may be onto something. Ae is 11.0.4, OSX is 10.11.12 and Camera Raw is 9.1.1 and I see that they're up to 9.3. I'll upload the "9.3" when I get home and report back.
I was mistaken. Attempted to install the 9.3, however, I think that version is exclusive to CC. Camera Raw version on MacAir remains at 9.1.1 Thanks for the suggestions, however, I think I will uninstall the application and reinstall and see if that solves my issue.
