How confusing, by the way, to use myDoc for a collection of links. This sort of thing will get you into trouble sooner or later.
Thanks for your response pkahrel, unfortunately it's still not working for me, it simply returns 'undefined'.
Also, what do you mean it's confusing? Are you just referring to how the variable is named? What would you suggest?

What's confusing is that you use myDoc to refer to links, whereas most people (I guess) would expect it to refer to a document. It's clearer to use e.g. myLinks to refer to the document's links.
Back to the links and their names. Given a document and a link (e.g. a graphic), then this line:
returns the name of the graphic -- just the name. This line:
returns the full path.
I just now notice your line '$write = myLink.file.name'. This is another problem because $write is not a function. To display something in the ESTK's console, use
