Windows 8, and I'm not sure about the rest of the questions.
I'm teaching these programs and our school as purchased a building-wide license. This is occurring for only a few computers. We've tried to reinstall once already. Photoshop and Illustrator open and work just fine.
I have the same problem. I am running 2015 CC on Windows 7 with Nvidia Quadro K220 graphic card. I tried removing fonts from the control panel, re-installing, signing out and in from creative cloud, checked that all my drivers are up to date and that the all adobe products are also up to date. Indesign ran once last month and crashes at launch ever since. Any help from the Adobe team would be much appreciated, as I am not happy with paying for a product that will not launch and will not be fixed by the Adobe suggested trouble shooting.

Update: Adobe are absolutely amazing and fixed the issue by checking the events on my PC. This was the problem and solution: InDesign crashes on launch on Windows
