Any messages or entries in the Windows application log?
Would suggest you to force quit the process from task manager and right click on Lightroom icon > choose run as administrator > check if it loads.
If it does not, end the process again and launch Lightroom with the Alt key pressed > choose option to create a new Catalog > report us back with the outcome.
I tried to launch Audition before, and it came up with a .dll file missing - googling the file led me to download this Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center which has fixed the problem across all programs (photoshop/LR/audition) without having to reinstall or update Audition.
