      Hello everybody,

      That's my first question here and hope that my English is not so bad..

      I am actually working on a project in Flash for a Customer and here is my problem,

      I have to use a button that open an external pdf file. But can't find any solutions :/
      I allready tried to use fscommand with an "exec" and also getURL

      Here is my code:

      PDF_Button_001.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,PDF_Button_001_onRelease);

      function PDF_Button_001_onRelease(e:Event)

      {

          getURL("file://PDFs/PDF_001.pdf", "_blank")

      }

      Any help Please :)

          Flash's security sandbox defaults to blocking this sort of thing. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move. To make it work you have to manually add the local drive letter to the list of trusted locations on every computer that's running the Flash content.

          When it does work, I'd advise against using getURL. Calling a JavaScript function instead allows much more control over how the PDF is opened.
