Just following up on this one. Seems like the command is probably in the dom somewhere, just can't find it. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I appreciate your optimism about what's in the API, but it actually has no concept of selection (other than, "which sequence is currently active").
I'll add your vote to the (already popular) feature request, "provide current project and sequence selection information".
Thanks for getting back to me, bbb_999. Yes, this functionality would be valuable to me; I've got projects across multiple clients that would benefit from this feature. From my perspective Premiere is becoming a popular choice for large studios with automated workflows -- and the presence of a full-featured api may be what determines permanent adoption.
You're right, PPro's already-pretty-full-featured API has been key to its adoption by large studios and broadcasters.
I've very recently dived into building extensions for Premiere and would also require this feature for a few projects I plan to release, so it's a +1 from me.
Can I just confirm that currently the only documentation is available via reflection in ExtendScript Toolkit? Is there an updated version of this page or something similar anywhere? Is that page deprecated?
That page, which contains Flex-related info; very obsolete.
Aside from the Readme included with the sample panel, there is no documentation.
Encouragement: There are >140 PPro panels in active use today, and none of them had any documentation either.
Walk through the readme, play with the sample (clone it to start your own development), and feel free to ask questions. PProPanel is pretty thorough in its ExtendScript API usage.
