That's because the DOM panel didn't exist in Dreamweaver 13.0 (the first version of Dreamweaver CC). I can't remember exactly when the DOM panel first appeared in Dreamweaver, but it was originally called Element Quick View. The name was changed later to DOM (Document Object Model).
Element Quick View (aka the DOM panel) first appeared in Dreamweaver CC 2014.1.
Why do you need to use DW 13?
The instructor said this version matched the book, but it must actually be 2014. I find the DOM easily in 2015 but the rest of the interface doesn't match the book. Thanks for your response. I thought I was going crazy...
