I have a couple of keyboard shortcuts that I use at home, but can't remember how to set them up for use at my work computer. Does anyone know how to set up command space bar to invoke the zoom tool, or just space bar to invoke the hand tool? These act as toggles, so are only activated while being depressed and using the selection tool. Both computers are using the latest version of InDesign CC, the OS (El Cap) and run on Macs. I know where the keyboard shortcut settings are in ID and both of my applications appear to have the same settings. I don't want to remove the Z key for zoom or the H key for hand, just want to add to those.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks, David
Those two shortcuts are set that way by default, so either you have a custom set of shortcuts enabled, or the OS or another application is hijacking the keys. Seems to me that El Capitan is set to hijack the Cmd key by default, so check your System preferences.
Thanks Peter. That gives me a place to start.
