I have done all the reading and testing I could find. I am familiar with the "lock" option for loupe view on my secondary monitor. I used it like this for quite a while but since my adobe RGB monitor is my main monitor, I really only want to use my secondary monitor for my grid/library view. When it collections it stays there fine. But if I click on "all photographs", my secondary monitor switches to loupe and the grid view appears on my main monitor (where lightroom is running).
Is there any setting that would change this behavior? Not sure why it does not switch for collections but it does switch for "all photographs" which is kind of a "go to" option for me to get my bearings.
I can't explain this behaviour; one thing you could try is:
make a new Smart Collection which is going to include all of your pictures (for example, everything taken after 1st January 1800) - call it "All Photographs" - and use that instead?
That's a workaround for sure. Not sure why it is doing it but if I can resist hitting that "All photos" option that would keep it there.
If anyone knows if there is a setting somewhere that causes this behavior please share.
