Install AIR on shared drive, accessable to many?

Can I install an AIR application on one shared disk drive (Windows) and have many people access the application without each person having to installing it on their local machine?

If the answer to this question is "Yes" then I'll dive into AIR and learn it. One of the problems with Java, Perl and others is that each person accessing the application must do an "installation" of some kind. If I write a C or C++ program which creates a stand-alone executable (for Windows, in this case) then just double-clicking it runs it with no other installation needed.

I'm getting into Flex on my own first ... later AIR, but if I get the right answer to this question I can get AIR into my workplace too.

      Thanks and best regards,
