What kind of a line and what do you plan to do with it?
Is it just an arrow, pointing something out?
Or is it like a line on a map, showing the route of travel? I've got a free tutorial on creating that effect. You can see it by clicking the link on the upper left of this page.
Although the tutorial was created for version 11, it will also work with versions 12, 13 and 14. I'll be updating the tutorials and the "Cool Tricks" book for version 14 in the next few weeks.
I would like to add a line simulating a line on an object. In reality the line is made by a kind of laser. I would just like to show the viewer where the line should be shown in reality. So yes it is just a line like adding an arrow.

Have you tried using the Shapes tools in the Title Adjustments workspace? That would be the simplest way to do it.
If the Line Tool in Shapes section of the Titler works for you, you might be interested in an earlier thread that suggests how to adjust the width of the Shape's Line Tool.
But, as mentioned in the thread, the easier way to adjust the "line" width might be to use the Titler's Rectangle Tool in the Shapes section of the Titler.
Also, is there any chance that you are looking for the laser saber effect related this line that you seek?
