Does Adobe have a benchmark tool that can be used to evaluate a workstation to determine its approximate performance for most tasks (sort of how like programs like PassMark are able to evaluate an entire PC's performance).
Reason I'm asking is because I'm curious to know if PHotoshop and Lightroom are more CPU or GPU intensive, depending on the task. So, for example, if you have a fast quad core computer with mediocre onboard graphics, versus a dual core computer with a gaming/CAD video card, which one would perform better for LIghtroom and Photoshop (editing photos, etc).
I don't think Adobe has made such a beast available.
I can't speak for PS, but LR at present makes fairly minimal use of the GPU. Given that choice, I'd go for the fast quad-core CPU.
