We confirmed that the problem is caused by a defect in Acrobat Reader for iOS version 15.3.0.
The defect has already been fixed in our internal build, which will be released to the App Store in the upcoming weeks. (Unfortunately, I am not able to speculate on the exact release date.)
We will let you know when a new update becomes available in the App Store.

We just released Acrobat Reader for iOS version 15.4 on January 23, 2016.
This release includes the fix for the particular defect that you have encountered.

I tested this morning. It appears to be working on all documents I have tested so far
