New to Lightroom. Working with 6. I saw this question already posted but didn't see an ultimate resolution to the issue so thought I'd throw it out again. When I go from Library to Develop, I see my image in the top left corner, but where the larger image should be is just a blue box. The 'fix' that was recommended was to disable the graphic processor under Preferences, Performance. This doesn't seem like a good long term solution. Any further insight?
This is generally due to graphics processor incompatibility and due to that reason it works fine when GPU is unchecked.
Refer this link to make sure if your graphics card meets the minimum requirement :
You can try to update the graphics driver, maybe this will let you work with the gpu turned on.
If it doesn't, it's no big deal - it only works in Develop, and unless you have a 4 or 5K monitor, it won't affect performance.
In fact, for many users, performance will be better with the gpu turned off.
Thank you Per. I will try updating my drivers, but then I won't fret over it any more. Appreciate your quick reply.
