Checking status asyncronous donwload of data

    webvalue Level 1
      Hi,

I need to have 2 pieces of data downloaded before displaying a datagrid. I use 2 seperate functions for downloading and then 2 events for gettting the data. Is there a commonly agreed best practice of how to check the status of the downloading of the both pieces of data?

Call invalidateProperties() and set a flag in each result handler, then
override commitProperties(). In commitProperties, check to see if both
flags are set and then move ahead. That's what invalidateProperties() is
          for.
