I'm making a Interactive PDF for a client and they want to have it live on their website - either right there on the site or a link to view it one's browser/download.
The way this PDF is interactive is that it has little pop outs with text when you scroll over certain spots. It looks great in Adobe Reader but when I try it in my Chrome web browser, all the interactive elements are washed out in color and you can see the button hotspots.
How can I rectify this?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry, you have unrealistic expectations. You can only be guaranteed of how an interactive PDF will work if you view it in Acrobat or Adobe Reader. There are literally hundreds of PDF readers, and a great many of them, like browsers and Preview for the Mac do not properly display interactivity. Many PDF readers are defective and don't support all PDF features.
All you can do it tell your client that that's the way they'll have to view it, or else do without that interactive effect.
You need to force it to be downloaded. Interactive features anywhere but desktop versions of Reader/Acrobat is a crapshoot.
