    Inside of portal?

    obersin

I've created a wormhole exactly like the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHV_UUWEYNM    . However I need to put a video inside of the portal like in his intro, and he didn't explain how. Based on the video, can anyone explain to me how? I don't understand Adobe terminology very well as I didn't understand the comment he left under the video addressing a similar question. I did the precomposing as presented in the video. Thanks a lot.

You just size the video and then mask it with a track matte or animated mask the matches the vortex. Put the video on the bottom layer or nest your vortex comp in a new comp with the video on the bottom. You may even want to consider rendering a lossless with alpha video of the vortex and using that instead of the comp. The compositing will go much faster that way.

This is really basic AE compositing and layering. Make sure that you spend some time learning the basics.
