I would like to draw a circle on a video and have it persist as the video continues. Something similar to how a telestrator functions in sports broadcasts. Can this be done in Premiere Elements? I don't seem to have many options for annotating video in Premiere. I can add a rudimentary line with the text/titles tools but I am definitely limited in my options for "drawing" on the video. If there is no inherent way to do this in Premiere is there a third party application that is widely used? Would it help if I upgraded to Pro rather than Elements? Do I have to switch between apps like Photoshop or After Effects? Thanks for any ideas.
Are you referring to the concept of picture in picture (or video in picture or picture in video)? Premiere Elements offer those PiPs options in its fx Effects.
For circles...are they intended to frame a video in a video? Or, do you want to highlight a player in a game?
My favorite is drawing the circle with crayon effect.
Please consider. Also, please tell us if you already have some version of Premiere Elements and what version, what computer operating system?
Whatever program you settle on, please look at the tryout before purchase to assure its compatibility with your computer environment and project goals.
I would not rule out Premiere Elements. If you look into the program, more and more cannot dos becomes can dos. Please check out some "perspective" ideas that came from exploration and experimentation with Premiere Elements.
After Effects and similar programs may be state of the art if you need them.
